Craziest thing you ever did during intermission at a Circuit Assembly
by Esse quam videri in1970 - there was a local drag strip a few miles away from the hall rented for the circuit assembly.
i was 18 , tim o. was 16 and wayne d. was 18. wayne had a 1955 chevy 4 door, 6 cylinder and fresh paint job.
tim had his dad'ss 1965 chevy half ton.

Edinburgh--Scotland--UK 196--7 ? ish. Murrayfield. big assembly. international ?
i vaguely remember a troop of us teenagers getting pissed one lunchtime--then unloading from a footbridge ---onto a train --on the line through the castle gardens into waverly station.
sorry about that--wont happen again.

Circuit Assemblies in the "Good Old Days"
by BluesBrother injust been reminiscing about how c/a's have changed since we were young.
i remember when they started friday night in some rented hall , as well as the two weekend days.
saturday morning was a brief session then field ministry (which only a few performed ) and sunday sessions.. in the free time around the venue we just used to hang out socialising and eyeing up the girls.

Blues bro=="Anybody else have fond memories of Albert Broad, John Blaney and more lately David Carter?"
JB was our CO in the early 70's--isle of Wight. my daughter called him " Brother Blimey"
i wonder where she got that from.

So true, I remember Bingley Hall, Cirencester in 1963 when I was a total idiot and decided to get baptised.
OMG--i was at Bingley hall '63. ( it was in Birmingham ). i even had a bit part on the stage--a geeky college student in sunglasses and a striped scarf.
i was on the night guard crew--a whole gang of us kids did it. a mate of mine--Jimmy " Gum"----put the Rolling Stones " its all over now " on the loudspeaker system in the night--it was hilarious !

How much money people usually donate to WT ?
by Bardamu ini grew up in the org and never got baptised, however i was wondering recently about how much money my family and old friends are wasting in all that.
.
i remember of course never talking in amounts, that it was important to give from what you can not what you have etc but i admit i have no clue how much the average witness gives (say in % of their income).. i'm sure it varies greatly, i'd love to hear what you guys have to say..

i was dismayed when my old dad told me he had donated £5000 to the local congregation for a hall purchase. that was my future inheritance going up in smoke.
he also donated £100 a month.
that hall was subsequently sold.
